I entered a Home Beautification Contest (2011) for subsidized housing-and the contest does not include a night time view of my home. My entire yard is powered by solar lights-many of which are dragonflies, changing flowers, gazing balls, multi-colored solar tulips, lightes roses, glow in the dark stones and pathways, lanterns, and various unique items. During the day-my yard is very pretty. I use imagination and creativity. Video of my yard during the day will follow later-yet the night view is noticed by neighbors and drive-by onlookers. I get compliments whenever I am outside. Wish me luck! I am limited on what I can achieve because I only rent the home. Thank you. The purpose of this device is to eliminate this dilemma by powering these lighting systems by harvesting energy from both sunlight and rainwater. On sunny days, the system will utilize solar panels to charge a set of rechargeable batteries in order to provide power to two garden lights. On rainy days, the system will employ a four-gallon water reservoir in order to retain rainwater from a standard residential downspout. Hi and thanks for taking the time to look at our Vids of last Christmas. For the technically minded we run three shows each night. This vid is our animated display which is all LED. Our static display has about 20% incandescent lights and the rest LED, CFL and Solar. Santa's Grotto is near 100% LED. All up we have 90K+ lights. We run the animated display every half hour except on Santa's visit nights due to the huge number of people on the property. Safety is always our main concern and to that end our display is hooked up to Residual Currency Devises, cable and most wiring is underground and the garden is safe for all visitors to wonder around and take photos. Just a last word about entertainment, we have Stitches the PMH Bear on a regular basis, each year Joondalup FISA (Fire Brigade) turn up just before Christmas Eve with 2 or 3 Trucks and oh yes we even have a Mobile Coffee Vendor for the addicts.
