SIEEB, Beijing - iGuzzini Lighting

www.iguzzini.com 2005 saw a strengthening of relations between Ministry for the Environment of the Italian territory and the Chinese Ministry of Science and technology under the Kyoto agreement to reduce CO2 emissions and a broader program on environmental issues. The cooperation led to the creation of the building Sino Italian Ecological Energy Efficient (SIEEB). The building, located on the campus of Tsinghua UniversityBeijing is 40 meters high, with 20,000 square meters and houses an Italian-Chinese Research Center for environmental protection and energy saving. The designer Mario Cucinella, with a team of Politecnico di Milano. The building is designed as a sheet and turned into energy days, a series of terraced gardens, facing the south are full of dense vegetation and over 1,000 square meters of photovoltaic panels, which provide mostenergy needs.
